An exclusive use, converted textile mill with original industrial style features including high ceilings, wooden floors, exposed brickwork, and industrial style wrought Iron pillars.
The Venue Bowers Mill, a former industrial textile Mill, is situated near Halifax in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside. A lake sits in front of the mill, and is the perfect setting for a Warehouse style wedding.

We hold three Wedding licences; The Bowers (originally the carding and weaving room), The Spinning Room along with an Outdoor Wedding Licence so say ‘I do’ under the pagoda overlooking the lake.
BOWERS ROOMS
This room is a perfect setting for an industrial style wedding. During the daytime, the large factory windows fill the space with lofty natural light. At night, the lights illuminate the room with warmth. Originally this room was used as a carding and weaving room within the mill. This space can be divided into 3 sections with stylish drapes, offering a ‘reveal’ for your guests to enjoy.
THE SPINNING ROOM
This charming room overlooks the rooftops of Bowers Mill. This room was used to spin the wool and adjoins the Bowers room. Lots of original features have been retained including the mill floor, cast iron pillars and exposed brickwork.
OUTDOOR WEDDING VENUE
Couples can have the option of an outdoor wedding ceremony, surrounded by a woodland backdrop. The pagoda overlooks the lake. Access is over a small bridge in front of Bowers Mill. Our outdoor private area is a great spot for drinks receptions and outdoor photographs.

From Textile Mill
to Warehouse Wedding Venue
The Venue Bowers Mill, a 17th century textile mill transformed to an warehouse Wedding venue. We welcome guests from all over the globe to enjoy a warm Yorkshire welcome and hospitality. We are an exclusive use venue, offering flexibility on how you utilise the space.
In addition to hosting wonderful weddings, we also host; Awards Ceremonies, Galas, Charity Balls, Corporate and Conference Meetings and a location for Photography and Television.
History of Bowers Mill
Bowers Mill, a 17th century water powered Fulling Mill, Corn Mill and a Woollen Mill. A textile business by two brothers Joseph & Samuel Taylor. J & S Taylor occupied the mill from 1882 until they moved premises in 1991.
All the processes to produce cloth were carried out here in the mill by J & S Taylor; blending, spinning, weaving, scouring, dyeing and finishing. A portrait of Joseph proudly sits behind the bar in our main event space.
